Jasmine and Murray got married recently at the gorgeous Pialligo Estate, which is a modern restaurant in Canberra. They had their ceremony on the grounds of the venue, which was the perfect setting. They chose Pialligo Estate because the food is incredible and they just fell in love with it. It was a relaxed wedding, which is always lots of fun. I love shooting weddings at Pialligo Estate because the grounds are brilliant and the people are so lovely. The venue is positioned perfectly to get the most spectacular sunsets over the mountain ranges in the distance.
Jasmine got ready at home with her bridal party and parents, and the atmosphere was so calm. She was ready and in the dress when we arrived! We then took the short trip to meet Murray the boys for the First look where Murray saw Jasmine got to lock eyes on each other for the first time on the wedding day.
After that whirlwind and romantic meeting, we bundled everyone in the cars and shot the bridal party portraits around Canberra city limits for about a half an hour before heading to the ceremony venue.
The wedding itself was a legal ceremony in the venue grounds near Pialligo Estate. During the ceremony, they read their own vows. It was so personal. Our good friend Steve Murray from Canberra wedding celebrants did a wonderful job, as usual, keeping both the Groom and Bride calm during the ceremony as well keeping the service light and relaxed.
The reception was in a beautiful room and they had pre-dinner drinks in the afternoon, and a live band in the evening. A good band makes such a difference to the vibe of a wedding. They decorated the venue with florals and flowers because they wanted to keep it seasonal. For dinner, they served roast share plates, which was absolutely delicious. The first dance was a romantic slow dance, and they finished off the evening with a ‘last dance’.
The best part of the day was sunset photos because it was so romantic and personal. We just had a few minutes and it was really nice to see the sun slide away with the Bride and Groom embracing in a tender moment.
Jasmine wore a La Belle Bridal dress and Murray wore a great suit and they looked so incredible. Murray’s’s buttonhole was from Poetry In Flowers and Jasmin’s’s shoes were incredible boots. Similar to the ones worn by Margot Robbie in the movie suicide squad.
Murray and Jasmine’s wedding had such a fun atmosphere and just the happiest occasion. Here’s their gorgeous wedding story in pictures.
